Q: What is required to register my child?
A: For Spring registration, each player must have an active USA Lacrosse membership for the full season.
Q: Why did the division names change?
A: Divisions are now based on player age rather than grade. This change follows USA Lacrosse guidance to keep competition safe, fair, and balanced.
Q: How are divisions and teams determined?
A: Lake Houston Lacrosse, as part of the Houston Youth Association Lacrosse League (HYALL), follows USA Lacrosse’s Player Segmentation Policy. Players are grouped in 24-month age segments:

8U: 1st–2nd graders, born 9/1/2016 – 8/31/2018

10U: 3rd–4th graders, born 9/1/2014 – 8/31/2016

All LHL athletes must complete the USA Lacrosse age verification process.
Q: How do I age verify my player?
A: The USA Lacrosse system is secure and easy to use.

Select the member you need to verify.

Upload a valid ID (birth certificate or passport).
Once confirmed, print your age verification card and keep it in your player’s bag for all games.
Q: Is Lake Houston Lacrosse eligible for Off-Campus PE (OCPE) with Humble ISD?
A: Yes. LHL is approved by Humble ISD as an OCPE program for middle school students.
Q: What is the governing body after youth league?
A: The Texas Scholastic Lacrosse Association (TSLA) governs the Texas High School Lacrosse League (THSLL), which covers boys’ programs in grades 9–12. Learn more at thsll.org/about.
